the part about the man pronouncing his wife's friend's name Naomi.. then Naomi corrected him twice.. It's not Nao-mi! it's Na-o-mi!
Terence and i looked at each other and laughed...

cos i know of a girl name Naomi who can't pronounce her own name.. In my opinion, it's pretty sad to mispronounce you own name.
There was once herbie saw her and pronounce her name Na-o-mi(nā-ō'mē), she glared at him as though he was a "low" class fella who can't pronounce her name. She insisted that her name is pronounced as Nao-mi. Poor herbert korkor..
Maybe she wanna be special, so she prefer her name to be pronounced as Nao-mi/Na-Yumi or Yumi over Na-o-mi. Hopefully, she watched this show and corrected it?

Watsons 21st Anniversary event @ Tampines mall

This is the entry that many of you have been anticipating...

Presenting Watsons 21st Anniversary event @ Tampines mall!!

On 28th March, 4 Majolica Majorca ambassadors were told to be at Tampines for Watsons 21^st Anniversary event at Tampines Mall, where Watsons was also launching their inaugural inhouse magazine- GLOW! We were all supposed to be dressed up like the MJ poster girl in Chapter 22, complete with the hair wig! There were 2 shifts, Beatrice and Cordelia were given the 12pm-3pm slot, while Audrey and I were given the 3pm-6pm slot.

Since sweetie Audrey and I stay pretty close to each other, we went down together!

The moment we reached Tampines Mall, we saw Beatrice and Cordelia! Very eye catching wig!! we went.. OMG.... it's gonna be our turn next!! Both of us reached early, so we went for quick lunch and took pictures with beatrice.

TRANSFORMATION TIME!

Sweet makeup artist Pamela did the makeup for us with the latest Majolica Majorca's products to give us a porcelain smooth complexion, super long lashes and blue rimmed eyes just like the image model in Chapter 22's Girly Erotica image before putting on the blonde wig. I had a hard time putting on the wig cos my hair is thick, lol! The wig didn't fit well on me.

Yea... I know you people must be laughing. I think I look horrible in the wig. It wasn't easy to wear a wig and walk around tampines mall. We were lucky that we don't stay nearby.. didn't see many familiar faces walking around..HAHA

There was a Q&A session whereby the emcee asked the ambassadors about their favorite Majolica Majorca's product and share some makeup tips.

Mine is the Lash Beautifying Mascara Frame Plus! I can't live without mascaras! I love how the product gives me both natural and 150% longer lashes, even for my lower lashes!

Yesterday
Went down for a shoot at PSS... After shoot, i saw edwin's sms so i met him for my "breakfast" at around 5pm.
Went to the new mall beside bugis village and there's an arcade that's very jap style.
As usual, edwin caught care bears!

Supposed to meet elaine near my area but since i'm already in town... i changed my plans. Sorry girl....

Hana Yori Dango-"Boys over Flowers" (花より男子) is one of the best selling manga in Japan. I have the complete set of manga! :D
watched the anime but they changed the story plot(this happen all the time), so i was disappointed.
I'm sure some of you have watched Meteor Garden(Taiwanese version) or Hana Yori Dango(Japanese version) dramas.
I have watched a few episodes of the Meteor Garden but was VERY disappointed, so i stopped.

Days ago, Jerraine introduce me the Korean version, Boys before Flowers.
She spread the "craze" to me!! i completed the drama of 25 episodes in 4days!

My fav character have always been Rui Hanazawa(jap name);花沢類(mandarin name);Yoon Yi Hoo(korean name). Kim Hyun Joong took the role, he is really CUTE!!!
In my opinion, Kim Hyun Joong is such a pretty boy! he have the nicest smile! i am smitten by his killer smile.. was drooling over him while watching the show.. He looks like anime character!

Males will also enjoy looking at eye candies in the show.
Koo Hye Sun- Geum JanDi(Korean name) is really cute, sweet & innocent looking. And of cos there are alot more Korean beauties in the show!!

I feel that the Koreans did a great job!!
Not only because their actors and actresses looks better than taiwanese's version.
According to the manga, F4 especially Tsukasa Domyoji (道明寺司 ); Goo Joon Pyo come from wealthy family leading luxurious life. Meteor Garden failed to show how rich are F4 unlike Boys before Flowers. Koreans pumped in much more money and effort in the making of this drama by fliming it in various countries and more.
In the drama, Goo Joon Pyo took helicopter to school(owned by his family)!! Brought his friends to an island own by his family for holidays.
The koreans are very good at fliming such dramas. Haha, i can't control my tears while watching the drama. lost count of the number of times i shed my tears...
It's one of the korean drama that you shouldn't miss!

Jerraine and i were saying... "IT'S FAKE!!! it's impossible to find handsome, tall, rich, smart, sweet & nice guy!!!".
Hmm...maybe 1 in a century? miracle? LOL....

Anyways, i know that i haven't update about my personal life lately; too lazy to upload pics from camera. I promise to do it for next entry!!

It's april fool day..
how was your day???
i received a prank sms from cute cheryl but it didn't work on me, cos i scroll the sms till the end and saw "happy april fool!".
Then i wondered... will this work on my friends? So i editted the sms to make it more personal and convincing before forwarding to people.
Okay, you can say that i'm so damn free... had nothing better to do or what so ever.
I'm cool...

The best part was.... IT WORKED!!!
i can't believe it!
One of them, E woke up and saw my sms.. so replied me and confessed that he lied to me.
i can't help it... i laughed cos i didn't expect that.
well, it was white lie. Doesn't really matter.. who don't lie?? if you say that you don't lie, you're the biggest liar!!
i can't help it... i laughed cos i didn't expect that.

Some were shocked and worked up...
eg: R called me up and said that he was shocked when he read the sms. So he asked me what happened? i told him to scroll down the sms to read once again, he sounded really anxious! Insisted me to explain it on phone and refused to view the sms again. So i had no choice, so i paused awhile and said, happy april fool! Immediately, he laughed but said that it's not funny.
The cutest moment was when he asked me, am i the only fool?? or the biggest fool of the day? so i replied, don't worry.... you're not! you're number 7th or 8th!
Yes, i'm meanie.. i can't control myself, i laughed.

Some replied me with sms, thought that i sms wrong person or gave me "blur and lost" replies.
But the sweetest reply was from C... his reply was "what have i done wrong?? All i did was to keep a place for you in my heart". Awww.... sweet talker!!!
Few of them read sms halfway and reply/call me up....
Conclusion: Please read finish the entire sms before you reply!

We wore hair wig for the event and for the first time in my life, i feel like a "tranny"!!
Oh yes... this is the very first time for me to wear a wig for event!
Argh.. all of us complained that it was SUPER ITCHY!!
btw, the wig didn't fit me cos my natural hair + hair extension is very thick and heavy!
So it's impossible to hide all my hair under the wig!!
I believe everyone will laugh when the pics are up... but you know what, i'm not gonna share it now...

Why Higher SPF isn't necessarily better??

When consumers are more conscious of the importance of sun protection, they naturally assume that the higher the SPF, the better the protection. Hence, products with very high SPFs(above 100) start appearing in the market.
As i was having conversation with a friend(who is a doctor)-asking for some "whitening tips", he explained that "higher SPF sunblock doesn't mean that it gives better protection".

UVA (ultraviolet-A)
Although less likely than UVB to cause sunburn, UVA penetrates the skin more deeply, and is considered the chief culprit behind wrinkling, leathering, and other aspects of "photoaging."

UVB (ultraviolet-B)
More potent than UVA in producing sunburn, these rays are considered the main cause of basal and squamous cell carcinomas as well as a significant cause of melanoma.

SPF (sun protection factor)
Measures the length of time a product protects against skin reddening from UVB, compared to how long the skin takes to redden without protection. If it takes 20 minutes without protection to begin reddening, using an SPF 15 sunscreen theoretically prevents reddening 15 times longer(about 5hours).
Higher SPF doesn't mean the suncreen is more effective than the lower ones. In fact, higher strengths may cause increased irritation among people sensitive to the active ingredients in sunscreens. Other possible side effects include allergic reactions such as rashes.

Broad-spectrum protection
product that shields against UVA as well as UVB. However, It does not guarantee protection against all UVA wavelengths. Most broad-spectrum sunscreens and sunblocks with an SPF of 15 or higher do a good job against UVB and short UVA rays; if they contain UVA protective ingredients such as avobenzone, zinc oxide, or titanium dioxide, they should be effective.

Even with the ideal sunscreen, some UV rays can get through to your skin and cause damage as no sunblock is full proof!
Always reapply sunblock every 2 hours, bring along sunglass, hat or avoid the sun!

As i was watching Discovery channel, i saw the advertisement for Earth hour, i would like to spread the word on my blog.
Take part in Earth Hour by switching off your house lights on March 28th for 1hour(from 830-930pm)!!

By switching off the lights, it does two things: it means that you wish to take care of our planet by doing your part, and it saves electricity, which means less greenhouse gases would be generated during Earth Hour.

People tend to worry about Contradictions in life.
Is it necessary?

Life of great/famous people and religion texts are full of contradictions.

Talking about our lifes.. I came across an interesting article and im sharing part of it with you guys

The absurdities in our lifes today are shocking.
examples:
We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values.
More conveniences but less time
More medics but less healthy people
We have learnt to make a living but not life
We have added years to life but not life to years
We have cleaned up the heart but polluted the soul
Our educational institutions are no longer models of knowledge, shameful that we have higher incomes but lower morals
We are more concerned with the label than the labelled
These are times of strong men but weak character
Steep profits but shallow relationships
More leisure but less fun
More types of food but less nutrition
Flashy weddings but more separations
Fancier houses but broken homes
Times of much work but low pay, on another hand-less work but more pay.

It's Ironic

Anyway, there were times whereby i feel like penning down something from the buttom of my heart.. but i failed to do so.. I guess language has certain limitation of expressing one's innermost emotions and also it's not a great idea for me to share too much on blog...
i learned to shut up and pretend as if i know nothing.. cos i don't wanna get into trouble. Listening & people watching is much more enjoyable than talking.. In that way, people can't put words in my mouth!

Ignorant people loves to gossip/ bitch ridiculous stuffs that never exist... in a way, i find it entertaining & funny..
They make me laugh and as a weird person..I love it when people think otherwise about me.
i don't see the need to explain anything to anyone

Now i wonder, how mean can one be??
I guess there's no limit.

1 day before IT show.. i did a shoot in afternoon.
Very cool outfit...

During the shoot...

after the shoot, i met stephy and edwin for dinner.. we sent stephy to work..

had nothing to do.. so we went marina barrage and relax

after that, we met casse for supper

casse is now a busy girl...
met her for supper with edwin...
lol.. my curls become like that...oh ya, this makeup is done by makeup artist..

After work... i went down for CLEO bachelor finals at Zirca with Stephy
All thanks for Jerraine for the invitation.... haha, we whistle whenever her bf, alex got onto stage!
sadly, i didn't manage to capture a gd of him...

Heard that the queue was really long... some queued for 1 hr to get in..
by the time i arrive zirca from suntec... the show started
it was VERY CROWDED but a GREAT show...

the winner is none other than bachelor number 45 vivian
He's really tall, cute and friendly.. No offence to the fans of other contestants, i think he deserves it..
Some of the contestants are also cute & talented, i believe it was good experience for all contestants

Unfortunately, my camera played tricks on me!!! sigh
As I came late, i didn't stand at very favorable position to get good pictures..

with jimmy... LOL!

i think he's tired... poor thing... he took too many pics with his female "fans"..

For the benefit of those who didn't turn up for the finals...
The segment that made all the girls nose bleed was the strip tease segment
panties and bras were thrown from the crowd to performance stage!!
But it wasn't me!!!!
I guess... it could be their friends?? maybe they brought along extra extra panties and bra and throw onto the stage?

i like his tan.. think he's popular among the girls too..

finally IT show is over!
Trust me, it was crazy!!!
first day of IT show felt like the final day...
on day 3 of the show, they actually control the crowd by letting people up the escalators"batch by batch"!
But it was still too crowded, hence they had no choice but to block off the escalators and told the crowd to come back in 1 hour's time.
however, there's a loophole!!! there are 2 lifts at each end of the hall!
sadly, due to recession, not many companies hire showgirls...

luckily i have a great partner, elynn to accompany me during the show.
it wasn't easy to stand at the booth for so many hours with point high heel boots!
at a point of time, we cant take it any longer! She brightened up my day by sharing some jokes, tht's so cute of her.
Looking forward to work with her on coming Sat's game launch.

A shocking news
I have no idea why i'm in FHM top 100...
i didn't sign up for it!!

The amazing part is..... I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT PICTURE OF MYSELF!!
but... from the outfit, it was taken during last SIN
i have never thought of joining competitions cos i cant give full commitment

So i asked tommy to check out what happened... and he found out that someone nominated me.. or rather, sabotage me??
whoever who nominated me... i'm sorry to disappoint u, i'm not gonna go for it..
